Our Founder

My name is Derek Washington and I am native of Detroit, Michigan. I started Feed-A-Face in December 2012, after relocating to Dallas, Texas.

Having traveled to multiple cities and countries, I observed many individuals living without the basic necessities of life and I found it heartbreaking.

The premise of Feed-A-Face is based on being good stewards over our blessings and giving back to our community-lending a helping hand and helping those in need.  

"In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, How he himself said 'it is more blessed to give than to receive'" (Acts 20:35, English Standard Version).

With the help of a few friends and gracious establishments, Feed-A-Face was able to feed hundreds of people during the Winter Holidays 2012-2019. Since its initiation, Feed-A-Face has encountered positive support from the community. We are expanding and looking forward to serving millions nationwide.
